Only 8 kilometers south of Frankfurt an der Oder, the lake awaits with bathing fun and a beach. From the city you can quickly reach the lake via the A10/A12. The 250 hectare lake is located in the middle of a pine and mixed forest and impresses with its location in an extraordinary nature. With a depth of 67 meters, it is the second deepest lake in the state. Incidentally, the lake is one of the cleanest bodies of water in Brandenburg, so you can go swimming without hesitation. And when you've had enough of swimming, you can also play volleyball, football, tennis or table tennis on the beach. Diving, surfing, sailing or fishing is also possible in the water. There are even providers of sailing and surfing courses right on the lake. You can rent a rowing or pedal boat without a course and explore Lake Helenensee comfortably. And if you want to try something new: How about paintball? There is a gravel pit near the lake that is used as a paintball facility. Paintball is a team sport in which paint cartridges are shot at the opposing team.
And especially in summer there is always something going on at Helenensee. From music festivals to dragon boat races, there is something for everyone. From July 24th to 27th, for example, the Helene Beach Festival is coming up, combining sun, beach and music. This year stars of rock and pop music like Revolverheld and Cro are on stage.
